Reddit's built-in Save action is the quickest way to mark a post or comment for later. Open the post menu, choose Save, then visit the saved area of your Reddit profile when you want to return. The exact menu placement can vary between Reddit's desktop and mobile interfaces.
Save a post with Reddit
- Open the post or comment you want to keep.
- Choose Save from its visible actions or overflow menu.
- Open your Reddit profile and navigate to your saved items.
This works well when you only need a private list inside Reddit.
When a local searchable copy helps
A native saved list is tied to one platform. Research often spans Reddit threads, X posts, YouTube videos and ordinary webpages. TroveKey gives those sources a shared local library and searches the text that was available when you captured it.
Use TroveKey when you want to:
- search saved text, titles, authors, tags and notes;
- keep Reddit items beside useful pages from other platforms;
- organize items into collections after saving;
- export your archive as versioned JSON;
- work without creating another cloud account.
Save a Reddit post with TroveKey
- Install TroveKey and open the Reddit post.
- Use
Alt/Option + Shift + S, the context menu or Save current content. - Wait for the visible capture result.
- Open the TroveKey saved-content library to search, tag or archive the post.
TroveKey attempts to capture the title, author, readable text and canonical URL. When Reddit or the current page state blocks content access, TroveKey marks the item as a partial capture and saves the link plus the metadata it can read.
Find a saved Reddit post later
Open TroveKey with Command/Ctrl + Shift + K and search a phrase, author, subreddit, domain, tag or note. You can also open the full library and combine platform, collection, status and time filters.
TroveKey does not claim to preserve every image, video or inaccessible page. The capture status tells you whether an item contains searchable text or only a link and available metadata.
